ABOUT THE EVENT
For our inaugural event, the Muse à Muse Arts Association is planning a remarkable cultural experience bringing together the excellence of guest dancers from The Royal Ballet, with the beauty of the medieval Abbey in Lagrasse. This event in the Corbières region of Languedoc-Roussillion, aims to provide lovers of the arts with a truly memorable night of dance and culture.
The programme of classical and contemporary dance will include works by some of the world's leading choreographers past and present, including excerpts from Wayne McGregor's Chroma; George Balanchine's Tchaikovsky Pas de deux; Frederick Ashton's Thais Meditation Pas de deux; Kenneth MacMillan's Romeo and Juliet Balcony Pas de deux; Manon Act One, Scene 2 La Chambre Pas de deux and extracts from Elite Syncopations; Will Tuckett's Puirt-a-beul and Nisi Dominus from the Monteverdi Vespers; Alastair Marriott's Lieder; Marius Petipa's Rose Adage from The Sleeping Beauty and Le Corsaire Pas de deux; Steven McRae's Something Different; and a special "premier" of a Pas de deux choreographed by Ludovic Ondiviela.
The event will be held in the grounds of this famous Abbey with seating to accommodate approximately 800 people. The doors will open at 19h00 hours so patrons can enjoy the bar and buy a 2 or 3 course meal in the Abbey gardens before the two hour performance begins at 21h30.
After the performance there will be a "Reception With The Dancers" at the Abbey where you can mingle with the stars and enjoy a sumptious buffet, free bar and music.
The idea behind the performance was conceived by Johanna Adams Farley who is the Senior Stage Manager for The Royal Ballet, and will be produced by the members of the Muse à Muse Arts Association who are Emma Noon, David Craig, Julie Djian, Johanna Adams Farley and Ann Reilly.
In addition to the performance:
- the dress rehearsal is now open to the general public. Doors open at 21h30. Tickets are 10 euros and can be bought on the night. Please reserve at info_muse-a-muse.com
- three masterclasses will be given in french and english for families and young people in the region interested in dance.

LAGRASSE
Officially designated "One Of The Most Beautiful Villages In France", Lagrasse is located in the stunning Corbières wine region of the south of France. The beaches of the Mediterranean, the walled city of Carcassonne and the lofty heights of the Pyrénnées are all on its doorstep. Lagrasse is famous for its 8th century Benedictine abbey, to which it owed its original prosperity. The abbey, St Marie d'Orbieu, is connected to the medieval heart of the village by an impressive 12th century bridge which spans the river Orbieu. A village of artisans, Lagrasse is home to potters, painters and craftspeople and each summer it hosts a French book fair and music festival. Visitors to Lagrasse come to sample its wine, swim in the river and walk in the surrounding vineyards and olive groves. Some useful links:www.lagrasse.comwww.carcassonne.orgwww.frenchentree.comwww.facebook.com/event.php?eid=118824714819278&ref=mfLe banquet des livreswww.languedoc-wines.com/english
